Best Available Information for Your Choices

Nightlife in Rio

Best clubs:

  • Agree with above. Lapa is a great place to hear live music in some eclectic and old restored buildings and I would go with recommended places listed above. I would go here one night, especially on a Thursday-Saturday night. Keep in mind it is anywhere from a 15-25 minute taxi drive depending upon what beach area you are probably staying in: http://www.lanalapa.com.br
  • The nightlife here is plenty of different activities, but your choice will vary according your interests. The young people use to go to boites, bars with live or disc music, etc. The local government made some renews in a old place called Lapa and it is becoming the most fashioning place to hang out in Rio nowadays. I don’t like there, but it is a personal opinion.
  • A tipical carioca weekend day is like: wake up at 10, go to the beach, have lunch there (there are many restaurants just at the sidewalk, in front of the beach. You can even eat on the sands, but i don’t like. I use the tends and sellers service only to snacks and fried fish/drinks.
At the sunset, eat/drink/ talk on the bars, going home/hotel room to a bath and snap, whatever… night starting at 10 or 11 pm.
  • Some known bars clubs include São Nunca, Bom Sujeito, Nuth (Barra da Tijuca), Club Six, Rio Scenarium, Carioca da Gema (Lapa). These 2 last use to be the preferred for tourists.

Nightlife in Florinapolis

  • Greenvalley is claimed to be the best club in Brazil. It’s in a city an hour away from Florinapolis (without traffic) called Camburiu. It’s basically where all rich Brazilian kids go to party. Be careful buying fake tickets…scalpers will taunt you will good some good deals but you can never know if there scamming you or not. Buy them from a trusted source at the door.
  • P12 is one of the famous clubs in Florinapolis. Its on outdoor/indoor club on the beach. The club will also have shows there throughout the week so fun for day pool parties other days of the week.
  • Jurere is where the big nightclubs are. It’s also the nicer part of town where the nicer hotels and residential beach houses reside. I would recommend getting a hotel here just because it’s closer to the nightlife so you don’t have to deal with traffic.

Rio

Here is every important Rio landmark you need to visit

  • Walk Ipanema/Leblon beach, walk Copacabana beach.
  • Walk throughout Ipanema. Ask concierge in your hotel for recommended streets in Ipanema. There are different numbers on the beach. Different numbers mean different things. Find the number that corresponds to our age group -> You only want to be on the part of the beach that is your number.
  • Copacabana is NOT the place where you will spend your time. Walk through the entire beach, but Ipanema is a much better beach. Get a hotel in Ipanema if you can.
  • Walk through fancy area in Leblon
  • Christ The Redeemer (Jesus statue)
  • Sugarloaf Mountain
  • Rodizio: Food served like Pampas

Jericoacoara

Go here if you like kiteboarding

In Jeri you can rent buggy’s to roam the sand dunes or have tour guide take you on a buggy trip to across the sand dune national park(totally worth it). They’ll take you on day trips to crystal clear lagoons where you can lay in water hammocks and drink capirinhas all day long. You can rent sand boards and board down the dunes. Strong winds for most of the year and smooth lagoons to ride in.
It’s an ideal place to learn kiteboarding because smooth lagoons are much kinder than ocean waves. At nights there are caporiera shows and live out door music at the beach bars.

Buzios

Go here if you like relaxing on a beach

Originally settled by European pirates and slave traders, this happy mixture of many bloods prospered and became a picturesque fishing village, elected one of the 10 most beautiful areas in the world, famous for its unique combination of rustic charm, architectural harmony, incredible beauty and sophisticated boutiques and restaurants frequented by discerning visitors who come from all over the world to savour its magic. We invite you to take a tour around Búzios, Brazil…
Find more about it here .

Ilha Grande

In Ilha Grande, you will see nice, secluded beaches compared to the crowded ones in Buzios.
